Management saw an increasing need for stronger communication and collaboration across the organisation. The existing intranet was antiquated, difficult to use and labour intensive. BlueArc implemented Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007 to meet the organisation's collaboration and document management challenges.
SharePoint has provided a scalable, flexible infrastructure for the effective distribution of accurate, timely information to all staff. Now employees can easily contribute to the intranet without having to rely on the IT Department. The implementation of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server has enabled management and employees to be more proactive and responsive and has helped foster a sense of community among staff.
