City of Stonnington’s existing Content Management System (CMS) was outdated, cumbersome to use and not adequate to efficiently manage the large volume of information channeled through a busy metropolitan Council.

Following community consultation, feedback revealed a need for improved lines of communication with Council. The community also expressed a need for better online services than those available through the existing website.

It was clear to staff that Council would have to modernise its online facilities in order to deliver improved services and information to meet the expectations of its community.

Solution

BlueArc developed a new website and CMS for the City of Stonnington. Powered by the latest version of IgnitionSuite CMS, the website is informative, intuitive and highly accessible.

The new website enables enhanced service delivery with tools that support community engagement, including online forms and surveys. Social media integration makes instantaneous communication possible between Council and the community on events, projects and activities, while RSS feeds and e-newsletters keep the community up-to-date and involved.
